About Us

Oyate Kin Chante Wastepi is a non-profit organization that seeks to heal people with Indigenous culture, thought, and philosophy. Our goal is to redefine healing from a holistic perspective, one that encompasses the entire person, including the mind, body, and spirit. We believe in empowering people to take control of their own healing journey and providing a safe space for them to do so. Our team is dedicated to creating a supportive community and providing resources and education to those seeking healing through Indigenous practices.

Healing doesn't mean damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls our lives.

Our Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to preserve and revitalize the Lakota culture, language, and way of life. We firmly believe that cultural heritage plays a vital role in the holistic development and well-being of individuals and communities. By providing educational resources, cultural activities, and community engagement, we aim to instill a sense of pride, resilience, and self-determination among the Lakota Oyáte.

Our Vision

We envision a future where the Lakota Oyáte thrives, with their culture, language, and traditions passed down through generations. We aspire to create a society where every individual feels connected to their roots, empowered by their heritage, and equipped with the knowledge and skills to shape their own destiny. Through our efforts, we hope to bridge the intergenerational gap, foster understanding and respect, and create opportunities for the Lakota Oyáte to flourish.
